Yes I said jobs plural. No I sadly do not get paid for these jobs but the are necessary.
Job Hunting
I do work part time which is good. We are just barely 'making it' which is a blessing! The reality is though that I am underemployed and expected to work more hours than I get paid. No they will never outright say this. The attitude is there and many other employees there do have to work more than they are paid.
So, I go in search of a better job, like millions of other people. This is a soul sucking, time draining process. Just ask anyone looking for a job.
Medical Bill Tracking
Don't trusting the people billing you. Yes it's paranoid but it's proven time and again. Double billing, over billing, and mis coding of medical bills can all cost you. Getting people during business hours, tracking billing and dealing with appeals/fixing medical coding can all take very large amounts of time.
Working Out
Time before work, time after work, some during work. I have to get in a certain level of movement to keep pain controlled. Usually it's at least an hour.
I think many people have things in their lives that are time consuming but need to get done. What do you have to spend a lot of time outside of work doing?

De-frumping
For the past, oh probably, 3 and a half years I have been in a frumpy state. With some help and encouragement, I'm trying to pull myself out of this and actually care about how I look.
The frumpifying began because getting dressed/ready takes SO much more time and energy than before. All the standing, bending, twisting in the getting ready process means I start out my day in more pain. It's just been easier to put on my jeans and hoodie and not deal with anything. Or gym pants and t-shirt. These clothes also just require moving them from washer to dryer to closet. Nothing extra.
One thing I've noticed is that many of the 'nicer' clothes require hang drying. This is one reason I love our screened in back porch. There are cris crossing clothes lines that make it much easier to hang dry clothes. As an added bonus, the colors don't get bleached out by the sun. Which would be sad because I love color! Also If I hang something out before I leave for work and the weather changes, as it often does, it dosen't get soaked in the rain.
